Neighborhood/Community Search: You fill in the criteria (see above list) and then select a specific area of the neighborhood/community map by drawing a box around that area. Once you are presented with the listings from any of the above searches, you can click on "View Property Detail;" you will have numerous options presented including the ability to "Request Showing" or contacting me via email.
Mapping Programs
Maps give you additional information about properties so once you find a home/property that catches your interest, go to a site such as Portland Maps to obtain more information about the home. Here is the list of mapping sites:
-
The beauty of Portland Maps is simplicity. Created by the city of Portland, just key in an address and you will obtain an area map plus information about the property (e.g., taxes, square feet, etc.)
-
Metro's 2040 Concept Interactive Map integrates various government records into a region-wide mapping system. The property assessment records are a multi-county integration of Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington County records. Enter an address or intersection and you will see a map of the neighborhood. You will be presented with a multitude of information to include whether a neighborhood is a town center or regional center. It also displays transit corridors, bike routes, parks, wetlands, earthquake hazards, and landslide hazards. Maps are accompanied by links to more information.
-
Mapquest displays street maps and aerial maps. Plus you can download street maps to a PDA device.
-
You can also use the City of Portland Police Bureau's CrimeMapper site to obtain crime statistics by inserting the address or intersection of a home. It gives you the same crime data that Portland Maps provides.
Neighborhood Information
I can provide you with specific market data about a particular neighborhood. Call me at (503) 497-2984 or e-mail me at Susan Marthens.

Moving to Portland offers a free monthly newsletter to provide you with a close-up look at what's happening in the Portland real estate markets. Trends include average price and homes sold in selected areas (e.g., West Hills, Southeast, etc.). Also featured are new developments and neighborhoods.

Crime Stats
View detailed crime maps of a neighborhood and the City of Portland with the City of Portland Police Bureau CrimeMapper interactive mapping site.
CrimeMapper creates maps from a database of Part 1 Crimes created specifically for CrimeMapper from the Portland Police Data System. CrimeMapper also creates detailed graphs and reports that display crime data by month, day of week, and time of day. CrimeMapper displays the same crime data as Portland Maps.
The City Police Department also tracks crimes by neighborhood. You are required to download files for neighborhood crime stats.
