Bargain Townhomes in North Portland's Rosemont Area

One of the two-unit rowhomes.TOM Walsh's new townhomes in North Portland deserves your attention if you're a bargain hunter.  Listing for just over $100 a square foot,  the Rosemont rowhouses are being built in clusters of twos and threes.

The homes are from 1,304 to 1,360 square feet and are listed at $134,500 to 136,900 if you are under the median income level.  If you're over the median, you will pay an additional $3,585 for the home.

These homes have a 10-year tax abatement program so the maximum property tax would be between $109- $510.  This depends upon your income level.  Home owners fees of $40 month.

10-Minutes From New Light Rail Line  You have a 10-minute walk to the new Interstate light rail line.  Interstate MAX, a 5.8-mile segment now under construction and is scheduled for completion in 2004.  This $380 million line will connect MAX to the Expo Center along North Interstate Avenue.

Peninsula Park community center's location at the north end of Peninsula Park makes it part of an extensive recreation complex, with playground equipment, wading pool, tennis courts, and ball fields close at hand.  It also enjoys an unbroken view of the park's expansive rose gardens and turn-of-the-century bandstand.

Located just a quarter-mile off I-5 at the Portland Boulevard exit, Portland Development Commission is transforming the former Rosemont School property into a mixed-use residential development. The $20 million development includes affordable rental housing for seniors in the landmark Villa St. Rose convent,  townhomes, and detached single-family homes.  Some homes are for low-income families.  Market-rate homes are also available for purchase.  Over 50 new homes will be built in the Rosemount area.

  • Two and three bedrooms units

  • 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 baths

  • Attached garage or parking pad

  • Fenced yard
